Chancel Guild

Chancel Guild is an energetic group of church members who volunteer their various talents to provide valuable services to enhance worship and beautify the church. Organized in 1970, the Guild has assumed responsibility for preparation of communion elements, provision of flowers for the altar, and creating banners for the Sanctuary.

Chancel Guild currently has 95 members organized into teams according to individual interest and talents.  Each member is careful in the performance of a given task thereby ensuring reliability and quality in our services.   The practice of working in teams creates opportunities to form lasting friendships with other energetic and creative people.

Chancel Guild Services

Communion

Three teams rotate in the preparation of communion elements for each service the first Sunday of each month.  The schedule is given below:

Communion Schedule - 8:00am

Communion Schedule - 9:30am

Communion Schedule - 11:00am

Flowers

Guild members provide and arrange flowers and candles for each service each week.

Decorations

Preparation of the church for Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas is accomplished by two different teams.

And Activities

Luncheons

Chancel Guild organizes luncheons in January, May, and September for educational programs and fellowship. Guests are always welcome.
