2005-2006 for Sanctuary only

• Arrive 30 minutes before the service begins.
• Put on an “usher name tag” located in the narthex table drawer.
• Light the candles on the 2nd through 5th Sunday's.
• Have available all three types of bulletins, regular, large print and children’s.
• Place the hearing devices on the narthex table if not there.
• Make sure the narthex speakers are on. If not, contact the sound person.
• Scan the aisles for open seating for latecomers.
• Close the doors to the sanctuary when the music presentation begins. Seat latecomers when indicated in the bulletin.
• Count the attendance and post on wall clipboard in the workroom.
• After the offering is taken, take another usher with you as you take the offering back to the workroom.
• Head usher should remain in the narthex during the whole service.
• After the 11:00 AM service, collect the attendance sheets and take them to Julie Carpenter’s box in the workroom
•  After the 9:30 & 11:00 AM service, clean the sanctuary of all bulletins, etc. 
• After the 11:00 AM service, return listening devices to the cupboard at the back of the church and place the batteries in the charging device. Clean the listening devices with the alcohol swabs in the box.
