agros

Agros is a non-profit organization that enables rural poor families in Central America and Mexico to escape the cycle of poverty by purchasing their own land. Agros extends land loans to purchase farmland and partners with families in applying sustainable agricultureal practices. Taking a holistic and sustainable approach to development, Agros works to restore the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual brokenness of the people it serves. Lake Grove is partnering with Agros to help 30 families in Honduras realize their God-given potential, and pass on to future generations the values and resources that will enable them to flourish. We expect opportunities for LGPC families to participate in short-term mission trips to Honduras. To view photos of our work with Agros, Click HERE. For more information about Agros, Click HERE.

international justice mission

IJM exists to protect people from violent forms of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and accountability for perpetrators, ensuring that public just systems work for the poor. Currently we support efforts in Zambia and Cambodia. For more info, Click HERE.

Senegal Ministries

LGPC has had a relationship with a group of villages in Senegal, West Africa since 1994. These villages are home to the Wolof — a Muslim people group numbering approximately 4 million. There are very few Wolof Christians and there were no indigenous churches. Working with World Vision, Senegal Ministries has provided funding to help provide wells for 16 villages. The organization has helped with various projects involving education, health care, and agriculture. Over this time period LGPC has sent 9 groups from our church to visit what is now called “Lake Grove Land” in Senegal. For more info, click HERE.

Zambia Partnership

Moved by the HIV/AIDS pandemic (80 million infected, 25 million dead, 15 million children who have lost at least one parent), LGPC partners with World Vision and Christians in southern Zambia — where the disease is compounded by famine — to share the love of Christ by coming alongside community leaders, church leaders, educators and medical caregivers to prevent the disease, support holistic development, and minister to orphans, weakened families, and the victims themselves. Ongoing prayer, a yearly “journey of hope” to encourage our partners, and sponsorship opportunities highlight the work of this team. Click HERE for more information.

XEIP - Youth Mission for Zambia

What is Xeip? “Cheir” (greek for ‘hand’) is the hands of our faith at Entheos, a long term service project to make a difference in Zambia with World Vision partnering with Lake Grove Pres Youth. For more information check out their weblog.
