CascadeS Presbytery Ministries

A large portion of our Christian Witness budget is put to use in Presbyterian missions, supporting, the ministries of our larger connected church.  LGPC is one of the major contributors to our presbytery's mission work, for a wide variety of projects like:  financial assistance for small churches and new church development; presbytery conferences (missions, leadership, Cascades Summer Conference); advocacy for hunger action, peacemaking, eco-justice; campus ministry at 5 universities; our varied camp programs; leadership support and development for clergy and laity.

Emergency Relief

Our congregation sets aside funds annually so that it can respond compassionately to unexpected calamity, whether local, regional or international.  Under unusual circumstances, Christian Witness may recommend special offerings to meet extraordinary needs.

Extraordinary Young People

This group operates and shares God’s love at centers for Native American youth (ages 6-21) including the Warm Springs Reservation in Central Oregon. They provide crisis intervention, job referrals, music & drama performances, art & athletic activities. For more information Click HERE.

Hispanic Ministries LGPC’s focus in Hispanic Ministries is comprised of two components:

1. Partnering with Woodburn Presbyterian Church to better serve Woodburn’s Hispanic community
2. Supporting the Northwest Theological Institute, a local Hispanic seminary.

International StudentS, INC. & /Salaam Int.

International Students, Inc. is an organization of Christian volunteers who want to have friendships with international students at U.S. colleges and universities.
