Greetings,

I wish to bring to your attention that we have had continuous rains from Sunday to date and thus a lot of feeder roads have been washed away. Three zones (sub centres) namely Sinamalima, Kanchindu, Sinazongwe and some parts of Sinakasikili zones are now inaccessible. Major projects in these areas include:

   Siabbeula Food Security Project

Selected Schools ( Siazwela School construction Project)

   Manyonga projects

   Simankawa Village Partnership

   Simupande Village Partnership

   Chiyabi Village Partnership

   Simuzila Village partnership

   Makonkoto School

   Mubbikke School

CMAM ( Rural Health Centres - Sinamalima, Chiyabi, Siansowa, Siatwinda

   and GVDC)

Working on GNs, HOLDs and one Query in these three sub-centres is now a

   challenge.

Some members of staff have to get on canoes to get to the office whilst others have to report late for work when it rains in the morning as they have to wait for water levels to go down. It is my prayer that the weather situation improves in the next few days as most work has now come to a stand still.

Thank you and God bless

Betty Mbewe

Please note that Sinazongwe has been cut off from the rest of the country for over a month now. The army is working on the bridge just before Sinazeze so that people can travel to and from Sianzongwe. Its really sad the people have suffered. Where available, food costs have shot up by more than 50%.

(Fordson Kafweku, Zambia WV Staff Member, will be travelling to the USA and will be doing training with the Zambia GoTeam and attending the Walk for Water event on April 17.)

Dear LuAnn,

Thank you very much for the Easter greeting and to know that we are in your prayers. The Sinazongwe family is doing fine. God has been gracious to us and given us strength to serve him amidst challenges of floods. Fordson will be able to share more with you.

We are always encouraged unto good works by the support we have continued to receive from the LGPC family. The photos are wonderful and I am so touched that our friends took time to teach children about Zambia. I will share this with my team and I know they will be delighted.

We also continue to pray for the church. We are always filled with gratitude to God each time we remember you in prayer. I will wish you all God's joy and peace this Easter period.

On behalf of the ADP staff, kindly pass our love to the LGPC family.

Looking forward to your visit in July.
