Here's a list of what to do to update the church podcast. The best tools to use are a Macintosh, with Garage Band and an FTP client.

1. Wait until the Sermon archive page has been updated with the latest week's sermon text and audio file.

2. Connect with your ftp client, and download the audio file.

3. Open GarageBand, create a new podcast file, and import the audio file.

4. Download the cross artwork from /podcasts/, and import that into the podcast track in GarageBand.

5. Edit the podcast track and add the Title, Artist, composer, parental advisory, and add a small description. Often the description can be the first sentence of the sermon text.

6. Edit the audio if needed. (Remove blank space at the end is often needed).

7. Export the podcast as a Spoken Podcast.

8. Upload the .mp4 file to the church website.

9. Using the ftp client, download /podcasts/Lake_Grove_Presbyterian_Church_sermons.xml

10. Copy the last podcast text, and paste it so it appears at the first spot.

11. Edit the text for the podcast:

    11.1: descriptions of the fields to come.

12. Update the pubdate and lastbuilddate fields.

13. Upload the Lake_Grove_Presbyterian_Church_sermons.xml file, this will automatically publish the podcast to the iTunes store and to anyone who has subscribed to the feed.
