LIBRARY

Background Cross

The church library is a place for inspiration, contemplation and knowledge. It is located at the entrance of the children's education wing of the church, and is open whenever the church is open. Occasionally it is used for meetings and classes.

The extensive collection includes books, videos (for children and adults), sermons on tape and other selections. Reference works and commentaries are available for Bible study. Many areas are covered, not just theology and church history but also books to help us face the challenges of life, as well as fiction to help us escape such challenges. Pastor-recommended books can usually be found in the library and new selections are added each month.

A library team oversees the library's maintenance and is working hard to enter all the items on the computer, so searches can be made there or with the card catalogue.

Library Team:

Doris Marsh, Representative to CE & N

Diane Parker, Staff Representative

Irene Rohde, Librarian

Jane Sparks, Librarian

Barbara Goffrier, Librarian/Data Entry

Members of the church can check out books and other items by filling out the card and placing it in the check-out basket. Book recommendations are welcome. The library includes books and videos for children, who are encouraged to come and read or check things out with the help of their parents.
