ADULT LEARNING

Background Cross

The purpose of Adult Christian Education at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church is to offer a year-round program for discipleship that enables people to grow in their commitment to Christ, Christ's church and Christ's work in the world.

adult Learning
. . . to equip the saints for the work of ministry,
for building up the body of Christ,
until all of us come to the unity of faith and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, to maturity,
to the measure of the full stature of Christ.

Learning Christ

Christians never stop growing or moving toward healthy maturity. Here at LGPC there are a number of opportunities for spiritual growth. There are small and large group Bible studies, meeting at various times during the week. There is something for everyone who wants to have a vital and growing faith. Throughout the year, including summer, you can find opportunities to explore faith issues and deepen your under-standing of the WORD, both written (Bible) and living (Jesus).  Look over this list and make a decision today to take part in a group that will nurture you.

Sunday Mornings

 June 15 - August 3, 9:30 AM, Room 204

A new 8-week Sunday School Class for a blend of age groups, Adult, College, and High School. Each week will be a new topic from the Nooma Series, which are short films that explore our world from the perspective of Jesus. (Facilitators will vary each week.)

Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God’s work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most…because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. NOOMAs are short films that explore our world from the perspective of Jesus. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.
