Matt Heisler
Director of Ministry with Youth and their Families
Matt joined Lake Grove in 2021 and is our Director of Ministry with Youth and their Families. He loves hanging out with middle schoolers and high schoolers and has spent over 10 years in youth ministry. Matt is married to Grace and has two daughters: Amelia (3) and Sophia (6 months). He was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Oregon, and graduated from George Fox University with a BA in Psychology and went on to complete his MDiv at Princeton Theological Seminary. Matt is in the ordination process in our church's denomination, the PC(USA).
When he's not pegging students with dodgeballs or beating them at Super Smash Bros, Matt can be found hanging out with his family, reading a book (theology, psychology, and sci-fi/fantasy are his favorites), rooting on the Portland Thorns, or gaming (Apex Legends and League of Legends). Matt used to be a barista and knows all the best local coffee shops. He's always down to grab a latte and connect!
